After all discussions among top leaders, formula is now clear for June 18 election.
Total 17 seats are being divided among alliance partners, and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken biggest share with 11 seats . That is not small thing ah,especially when alliance partners are also trying to show their own strength .
Shiv Sena will contest 4 seats, while Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) will contest 2 seats . On paper,it looks like clean arrangement, but politically these numbers always carry bigger message.
And tbh,BJP getting 11 out of 17 seats clearly shows who is driving seat in this alliance . Shiv Sena and NCP are there, but BJP has kept major control in its own hands.
Few things standing out clearly here:
- Maharashtra Legislative Council (MLC) elections are scheduled for June 18 .
- Mahayuti has finalised seat-sharing for total 17 seats.
- BJP gets 11 seats,Shiv Sena gets 4 seats,and NCP gets 2 seats.
But at same time, this kind of arrangement also avoids last-minute public fight inside alliance . Nomination deadline is June 1,so they had to lock formula before things became messy.
Still, one question stays there only . Will Shiv Sena and NCP cadres accept this seat split quietly,or will there be some silent discomfort inside Mahayuti after BJP taking such big share…
