Navi Mumbai International Airport Begins Commercial Operations with First Scheduled Flights
Navi Mumbai International Airport commenced commercial operations on December 25, welcoming its first flight from Bengaluru amid ceremonial traditions. The facility handled 48 scheduled flights connecting to nine domestic cities, serving more than 4,000 travelers in its initial day. This development introduces a second major airport to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, aiming to alleviate pressure on the existing facility.
