One big raid from Bhiwandi is getting attention now,after Shanti Nagar Police seized 20.760 kilograms of cannabis worth around ₹6.32 lakh . And honestly,drugs being found inside flat in Arihant Complex makes whole thing feel even more serious.
The operation happened on June 21,2026 at fourth-floor apartment in upscale Arihant Complex . Police say substance was allegedly stored there for distribution,not just personal possession or some small quantity ah .
Senior Police Inspector Vinayak Gaikwad said police acted after tip-off from confidential informant . That input led officers directly to flat,where they found cannabis hidden inside two suitcases .
And this is where case becomes more specific . Those suitcases reportedly belonged to Mintu Devi Kushwaha (40) and her accomplice Durga Shah (43) . Police then seized both bags and checked exact quantity .
Few facts standing out clearly in this raid:
- Officers found 10.375 kilograms of cannabis in one suitcase .
- Officers found 10.385 kilograms in other suitcase,bringing total seizure to 20.760 kilograms .
- Mintu Devi Kushwaha (40) and Durga Shah (43) have been remanded to police custody until June 24,2026.
But bigger question is not just about two suitcases only . Authorities are now checking whether this seizure is linked to larger drug trafficking network and interstate supply chain.
Police are also trying to trace source of cannabis and identify people involved before it reached that flat . Assistant Police Inspector Yogesh Gaikar is leading investigation,and focus now seems to be on finding who all were connected behind this stock.
And tbh,20.760 kilograms is not small thing . If this was meant for distribution,then many more names may come out slowly as police dig deeper into supply links.
