So politics for 2027 UP elections has already started ah. On June 3,NDA leaders are sounding very confident after one spiritual leader Jagadguru Rambhadracharya made big prediction.
He basically said, "The lotus will bloom in Uttar Pradesh once again. I am saying this with confidence." And now NDA leaders are saying this prediction shows what public is also feeling.
And this has really boosted morale it seems . Uttar Pradesh Minister O.P. Rajbhar said that NDA's recent election wins in different states are proof of a growing support wave. He specially pointed to Bihar and Bengal.
He even remarked,"If we talk about Bihar only, the NDA had a historic victory in Bihar . Bengal, where the INDIA bloc had a lot of confidence, had a historic victory there too . So,UP will also be a historic victory." He also took a dig at Congress, saying it has no base of its own and depends on Samajwadi Party .
Another minister,Dilip Kumar Jaiswal from Bihar, also echoed this confidence . He really praised the spiritual leader, calling him omniscient. His exact words were,"Saint Rambhadracharya ji is omniscient; although he is visually impaired,he is said to have deep spiritual insight and knowledge of everything through the mind."
And honestly, this is where things get a bit more political. Jaiswal also talked about respecting Sanatan traditions and criticised what he called appeasement politics.
Few things standing out from all this:
- Rambhadracharya's prediction is making NDA leaders very enthusiastic for 2027.
- Recent victories in states like Bihar and Bengal are being highlighted as major confidence boosters.
- There's also talk about respecting Sanatan traditions and moving away from appeasement for political gain.
But not everyone is just relying on predictions . Neeraj Kumar, who is Chief Spokesperson for Janata Dal (United),said that in the end,it's electorate who will decide.
He rightly pointed out,"In this country, democracy exists, and every party will contest elections. Our alliance partners will go to the public court based on their achievements and the promises made to the people, and will appeal for votes." He also talked about moving from caste-based politics to development, like Nitish Kumar in Bihar .
So much noise for an election that is years away . confidence is high on one side, while others are saying let the public decide. All this talk about development over caste sounds good, but will it actually happen on the ground…
