So another political fight has started between Andhra and Telangana leaders, and this time it involves Pawan Kalyan . And honestly,it feels like same old story all over again.
This whole thing apparently kicked off after Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan was not given permission for one public meeting in Hyderabad . Now Andhra CM N . Chandrababu Naidu has jumped in to defend him publicly on June 3,2026 .
Naidu was clearly not happy with the restrictions . Speaking to media people,he said that in democratic society, everyone has right to gather and voice their opinions. He directly condemned the criticism coming from Telangana politicians against Kalyan.
And tbh,he has a point ah.
He basically said these kind of remarks don't help political discourse and warned leaders to not create bad feelings between two states . It has been over a decade since bifurcation, but these issues keep popping up.
Few things Naidu highlighted:
- Right to assembly is important for any democracy, and public meetings should be allowed .
- He urged leaders to focus on development and unity instead of this division stuff.
- He also mentioned achievements of Telugu people in global positions, reinforcing positive image.
But Naidu also made some political points about the situation in Telangana . He talked about how both Congress and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) are active there. He specifically questioned why BRS is criticising Kalyan, especially since BRS calls itself national party and wants to expand into Andhra Pradesh also.
It seems like a strategic move only, questioning their motives like that.
And his main message was that political competition should be healthy . It should be about public service and improving life for citizens, not creating fights between communities.
By talking about unity,he is trying to change narrative toward something more positive . But will it work… who knows. This kind of politics never seems to end…
