So the investigation into that attack on ED officials has now taken very serious turn . It's not just about some random violence anymore,they are looking for entire conspiracy behind it.
This whole thing blew up after a raid at the residence of former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan,related to that CMRL-Exalogic monthly payment case . And that's when ED team was allegedly assaulted .
Now a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to handle this . It has 30 members and is being supervised directly by the Cantonment Assistant Commissioner,with R. Prasanth as head of inquiry . They are already collecting evidence,taking statements from ED officials like Assistant Director Sanith Reddy,and have even collected search warrant documents.
And honestly,this is where it gets really messy.
ED officials are saying assault was totally premeditated . They believe it was a planned conspiracy just to stop them from doing their job . So the SIT is now checking if political leaders or some local party people were involved in bringing attackers together.
The police are digging into a lot of digital evidence rn . They are checking phone records and WhatsApp messages to see if there was any coordinated plan. So far they have named around 300 people in the case and made 25 arrests.
Few things standing out here:

- Appointment of R. Prasanth as head of inquiry is raising questions about bias due to his links with Left organizations .
- ED is pushing for a deeper probe,even suggesting a CBI investigation.
But ED is clearly not happy with just catching small fish . They have told everyone the investigation should not stop at lower-level workers but must find the people who actually orchestrated the whole attack . They've even started collecting video footage to fight against bail for the arrested individuals.
And this has become a huge political issue in Kerala,ah . Especially after R . Prasanth was made the investigating officer . The Opposition is pointing out his close ties with Left organizations and questioning if the investigation can ever be impartial .
The ED has even informed the Union Home Ministry about incident . There is talk of handing the case over to CBI because it's an attack on a central agency,which is not small thing.
It feels like this is going to be a long political battle . With ED,state police,and courts all involved,it's hard to tell how this will end… or who is really telling the truth.
