Politics in West Bengal is getting really heated up again ah . This time it's West Bengal Minister Dilip Ghosh going directly after former CM Mamata Banerjee, and the comments are quite sharp.
He first went after her recent protest against BJP,especially her claim that 70% of houses in Gujarat are illegal . Ghosh just dismissed it completely. He asked,"Did she investigate these claims herself? Their own house is illegal; keep this in mind first."
And honestly, that's a very personal attack . Taking it from policy to personal property is where things get nasty.
But this all started because of Banerjee's protest meeting in Kolkata . She was very clear about her intentions, telling supporters,"For us,it’s a do-or-die battle." She said she will continue her fight against the BJP.
Ghosh though,he wasn't impressed by the protest at all . He claimed the crowd was not as big as it looked. His exact words were,"It wasn’t massive; it was forced. Neither party’s MPs nor MLAs attended. Only those with no other place to go were present."
So main points of this whole fight are pretty clear:
- Ghosh is calling out Banerjee's claims about Gujarat and even her own house.
- Banerjee is holding "do-or-die" protests, saying her workers are being attacked.
- Ghosh says her party members are not even showing up to these protests.
And tbh,Banerjee seems to be feeling the pressure . During her speech, she even said,"Some people are betraying us to break Trinamool Congress." It sounds like there are internal problems too.
She also mentioned how things are different for her now . She said former chief ministers like Jyoti Basu and Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee never had to face protests outside their homes after losing power. It feels like she's saying she is being targeted in a way others weren't .
But she also promised to stand by her party workers, saying she would not abandon them even if other leaders leave .
This whole back-and-forth just shows how deep the rivalry is . It’s not just about politics anymore,it’s personal attacks and questions of loyalty. Who knows where this will go next…
