Just saw the news about the fire at Lemon Green Restaurant in Malviya Nagar and it's just completely devastating . numbers coming out are horrible .
On morning of June 3,this massive fire broke out. Sub-Divisional Magistrate Jitender Kumar has confirmed that 21 people have died . 21 people. That's not small thing ah.
And another 47 were rescued,but even among them,26 are getting medical treatment and many are in critical condition . It's just so sad .
Reports from AIIMS in Delhi say they admitted 13 patients,and three of them had to jump from the building to escape the fire . Can you even imagine that kind of panic. Trauma Centre also noted that ten of injured are Delhi Police personnel who were there for rescue work.
And tbh,this is where the whole thing just feels like a nightmare.
Of course,all political leaders are sending their condolences now. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his sorrow and announced financial aid of ₹2 lakh for the families of those who died. Home Minister Amit Shah and Rahul Gandhi also shared messages.

And honestly,that comment from Arvind Kejriwal is what is sticking with me. He said this is pattern in Delhi,and he's right . We keep hearing about these tragedies,these fires,and then there is a lot of talk about safety rules and then everything goes quiet again .
It's always the same story only. big incident happens,everyone is shocked,and then life moves on until the next one. When will proper fire safety measures be seriously implemented so this doesn't happen again?
For now,my heart just goes out to all families who lost someone today . They went out for a meal and never came home… it's just too tragic to even think about…
