Looks like things are getting really tense inside West Bengal politics rn. There's this big meeting scheduled for June 3, 2026, and honestly,it sounds like it’s going to be full of drama.
So Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari is holding administrative review meeting . It's for three districts,Kolkata,Howrah, and South 24 Parganas, with bureaucrats and elected representatives. Standard stuff on surface .
But the guest list is where it gets interesting. Two expelled TMC MLAs,Ritabrata Banerjee and Sandipan Saha, are apparently going to be there . And these are not just any MLAs,they have been very critical of party leadership lately.
This all comes after recent Assembly elections. In South 24 Parganas,TMC won 21 out of 31 constituencies, while BJP got 9 seats . But in Kolkata it was much closer, with TMC winning only 5 out of 11 constituencies. That’s big shift ah.
And honestly, this is where whole problem is coming from.
The main points to watch out for are pretty clear:
- Administrative review meeting is about performance and governance .
- Expelled MLAs Ritabrata Banerjee and Sandipan Saha are attending.
- Political tensions are high because of criticism after election results.
The big issue seems to be how the party was managed during the campaign . Both Banerjee and Saha have directly blamed the leadership style of Abhishek Banerjee for party’s problems. They say his "corporate-like approach" is pushing away the grassroots workers.
So this meeting at state secretariat,Nabanna,is supposed to be the place to sort all this out . They are talking about finding a "unified approach" to governance.
But with expelled members in room who are openly criticising leadership, you have to wonder how unified it can really be . It feels like this is more than just about governance,it's about the future direction of TMC itself.
Everyone is probably hoping for some reconciliation and better strategy for next elections . But when internal fights become this public,it’s not easy to just smooth things over in one meeting…
