So Asaram is back in news again, and it's for same old reason ah… health issues. man is currently serving life sentence but keeps getting hospital visits.
On June 3, 2026,he was moved from Central Jail to Arogyam Hospital in Jodhpur . And pictures show heavy police security during the whole transfer, which obviously tells you how sensitive this situation is. Hospital officials confirmed he was brought in previous night and is under observation .
This whole thing started after Rajasthan High Court gave him permission for treatment . He had filed a petition citing multiple health problems. So he came to Jodhpur on May 28,surrendered to jail authorities, and then this hospital transfer happened.
And honestly, this constant cycle of health issues and hospital visits in such cases is something else. It always raises questions.
Reports say he was first examined at AIIMS Jodhpur before finally being moved to Arogyam Hospital . The police deployment was huge, which is understandable given his profile .
Few points to remember in this whole saga:
- Life sentence upheld — Rajasthan High Court recently confirmed his life imprisonment.
- Health issues cited — Asaram has reported multiple health concerns necessitating medical attention .
- 2013 sexual assault case — case involves allegations of sexual assault against a minor student.
But it’s one court statement that really stands out. Rajasthan High Court had said something very powerful about this case .
They said,"The accused's imprisonment is confined within walls, but the mental trauma and lifelong suffering inflicted upon the victim know no such boundaries."
And tbh, that quote just hits you . It puts everything in perspective. While one person is in jail, the victim has to live with the trauma forever. That's not a small thing.
The original case is from back in August 2013,when he was accused of sexually assaulting a minor student at his Jodhpur ashram . He was convicted in April 2018 and got life imprisonment.
And now, years later, the legal process continues with these health petitions and hospital stays… it feels like story just never really ends…
