So the massive Uttar Pradesh TGT recruitment exam finally started on June 3 ,2026 . And looking at the numbers,the competition is just unbelievable this time.
Over 8.6 lakh candidates are trying for just 3,539 teaching positions . That is a huge number ah. The pressure on everyone must be through roof rn. exam is happening across 36 districts until June 4.
And they are conducting this exam in offline mode,which is good in some ways . It's divided into two shifts daily,one morning session from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m . and then afternoon from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Of course,with any big government exam in India,the security is super tight . Candidates are not allowed to bring any electronic devices like mobile phones or smart gadgets inside the centers. Standard procedure,but still very strict.

On first day,they had papers for Social Science,Physical Education,Science,Urdu,Hindi,Mathematics,Agriculture,and Music (Vocal) . The remaining subjects like English,Home Science,Biology,and others are scheduled for second day.
And it seems even the staff is on high alert . One invigilator in Prayagraj said,"This examination will be conducted over two days,on June 3 and June 4. Everyone is fully alert,and the administration is strictly following all government guidelines."
It’s good to hear that candidates are appreciating the arrangements . One person said,"The arrangements are quite good,as a significant number of administrative officials and personnel have been deployed." Another one also seemed hopeful,saying "I am hopeful that I will clear the examination. The arrangements are good. Tight security is in place to avoid any misdeeds."
And tbh,this kind of tight security is needed only . We have all heard stories about cheating and paper leaks in past. So it feels like Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission is trying its best to keep everything fair and transparent .
But still,when you think about it… so many people,so much preparation,for such few jobs . It really makes you wonder about the employment situation…
