Just seeing news about another major fire in Delhi, and it's honestly becoming very worrying. This time it was at some multi-storey Lemon Green Restaurant in Malviya Nagar early on Wednesday morning.
The fire apparently started around 8:30 a.m . and emergency services were called immediately. Reports are saying that three individuals were rescued from building which is good news, and they were taken to hospital for treatment .
And authorities acted fast ah . They sent ten fire tenders to control the flames, which shows how serious situation was.
Even local AAP leader Somnath Bharti posted about it on X . He was emphasizing that there could be casualties, and specifically mentioned that some South African nationals were present in building at time.
And honestly, this is where things get uncomfortable. The idea that more people, especially foreign visitors, could still be trapped inside is just a terrible thought .
Few things standing out clearly from this incident:
- Ten fire tenders deployed — to combat the significant fire outbreak.
- Search and rescue operations ongoing — officials are actively looking for any trapped individuals.
- Potential casualties reported — concerns raised about South African nationals in the building.
But what's even more shocking is that this happened just one day after another emergency in Mukundpur . On Tuesday morning,a whole residential building just collapsed there.
That Mukundpur incident seems to be from suspected LPG cylinder explosion . The Delhi Fire Service got a call around 9:37 a.m. about it. The blast was so powerful it brought down a single-storey structure that was almost 250 square yards . Apparently it was being used as some utensil polishing facility.
Two big incidents in two days feels like too much of a coincidence . First a building collapse from explosion, and then a massive fire in a restaurant.
It really makes you wonder about safety checks and regulations in city rn . Are these buildings being inspected properly? Rescue teams are still working in one place, and investigations just starting in another... so many questions just left hanging…
