So another political drama is unfolding in Maharashtra,and this time it has a very catchy name: 'Operation Tiger' . The whole thing is getting more complicated now that new claims are coming out.
Prakash Waje,who is the father of Nashik MP Rajabhau Waje,has now spoken up about this whole operation . He says this is not new thing,it was actually started around one-and-a-half years ago.
According to him,Deputy CM Eknath Shinde had invited his son Rajabhau to Thane before . The offer was to join his Shiv Sena faction. But Rajabhau apparently told him he needed to consult his father first before any big decision .
And this is where it gets more direct . On April 14,two associates of Shinde reportedly came to the Waje family's home in Sinnar . They tried to convince Rajabhau to switch sides,saying Uddhav Thackeray's faction was getting weaker .
And tbh,this is classic politics ah. Trying to lure people by showing weakness in other camp.
Prakash Waje said these people promised Rajabhau big development funds for the area if he joined them . But he was very clear that no personal financial offers were made during the meeting . So it was a political offer,not a money offer.
Few things standing out clearly in this situation:
- associates apparently highlighted weakened state of Uddhav Thackeray's faction.
- offer was for significant development funds,not a personal bribe.
- Rajabhau Waje delayed his decision by saying he needed to ask his father first.
But the Waje family seems to have made up their mind . Prakash Waje said his son had already promised his loyalty to Uddhav Thackeray and he plans to keep that promise . He even said Rajabhau doesn't even plan to contest in the 2029 elections,so what's the point of changing party.
And this information about 'Operation Tiger' has now reached all way to Matoshree,reportedly through the Waje family only . They informed senior Shiv Sena and NCP leaders about what was happening.
Prakash Waje said their family is well-established and they don't want to create any unnecessary suspicion by defecting . He told Uddhav Thackeray directly that neither he nor his son will leave Shiv Sena.
With these claims now out in open,it just adds another layer to whole Shiv Sena vs Shiv Sena fight . You have to wonder if this is just one instance or if many other leaders are also getting similar calls and visits…
