So Pat Cummins is already hinting he might skip IPL 2027,and honestly,I am not even surprised looking at the schedule ahead of him . It's just non-stop cricket.

And on top of that,there is a demanding Ashes series and then ODI World Cup in southern Africa later that year only . It's just one big tournament after another. How can any player manage this kind of workload.
He gave one interview to The Age and said it very clearly ah . He was quoted saying,"Something has got to give at some stage next year,and it's not going to be Test matches or ODI World Cup."
And tbh,that line says everything.
For him,national duty is coming first,which is how it should be . Franchise cricket is great,but playing for your country is the main thing.

If he does miss the season,it looks like Ishan Kishan will be one to step in as captain again,like he did before .
