Just saw this news coming from Jammu and Kashmir,and it looks like a major operation is underway . On June 3,2026,the Counter Intelligence Kashmir unit of J&K Police launched huge series of raids across the Valley.
These were not small raids ah . They were coordinated operations targeting eight different locations across six districts . This included two places in Srinagar,two in Bandipora,and one each in Anantnag,Kulgam,Kupwara,and Sopore of Baramulla district.
And the whole thing is part of bigger investigation into Pakistan-sponsored terrorist networks . Police are looking into sleeper cells involved in recruitment and radicalization activities which is honestly the most dangerous part.
Apparently,the raids are connected to an FIR filed under UAPA and other laws . The police got fresh intelligence inputs and did technical analysis which showed that some suspects were allegedly talking with Pakistan-based terrorist handlers using encrypted platforms .
And tbh,this is where things get really serious . They are not just looking for weapons but trying to break the whole chain of extremist propaganda and terror operations.
The main goal of these raids is to find incriminating materials,figure out the terror linkages,and identify all the associates and facilitators helping these networks operate in the region . This Counter Intelligence wing is part of the CID and specializes in these kinds of cases only.
Few things standing out from this operation:

It feels like one step forward,but the problem of these handlers and sleeper cells just keeps coming back… you cut one head and another seems to pop up somewhere else…
