Just read about another horrible fire incident from Delhi, and it's just so tragic . This time it was at the Lemon Green Restaurant in Malviya Nagar. The numbers are just awful.
According to the news, the fire broke out early morning on June 3 . At least 21 people lost their lives and more than 26 are injured. Officials sent ten fire tenders to scene to control the situation.
And of course, the political reactions have started coming in . Arvind Kejriwal posted on X saying,"I pray to God for the peace of souls of those who lost their lives in the horrific fire in Malviya Nagar,Delhi." He also pointed out how frequently these incidents are happening in the city.
Atishi also called the incident "extremely heartbreaking" . And she directly started questioning the BJP government about the fire safety systems and accountability.
And tbh, this is the same story every time. A tragedy happens, and then everyone starts pointing fingers.
Few things standing out from this whole mess:
- 21 lives lost — that's not small thing ah,it's a massive failure.
- Over 26 injured — many are apparently in critical condition rn .
- Rescue operations are still on,with officials searching for anyone who might be trapped.
But Atishi raised a very valid point when she asked,“Who will take responsibility for the repeated fire incidents in Delhi?” She said that just giving statements after every tragedy is not enough, and she is right .
This whole thing has again started a big conversation about fire safety in Delhi . It feels like infrastructure is just not there and we keep seeing the results again and again.
Right now, senior officials from Delhi Police and Delhi Fire Services are monitoring everything . But for the families who lost someone, this is just an unimaginable pain.
It just feels like a cycle . A fire happens, people die, there are investigations, and then… what? Does anything actually change or are we just waiting for the next one…
