Wow,so the preparations for D.K . Shivakumar's swearing-in are on another level ah . Lok Bhavan in Bengaluru has basically become a police fortress .
The ceremony is set for June 3,2026 and clearly authorities are not taking any chances with security . They have deployed over 2,000 police personnel to manage the whole thing and make sure there are no incidents.
And this whole operation is being personally supervised by Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh . He's coordinating with three Joint Commissioners of Police and 20 Deputy Commissioners of Police . So you can imagine scale.
They are being very strict with access too. Only VIPs and VVIPs with special vehicle passes can go directly to Lok Bhavan . Others have to park at nearby Thimmaiah Circle.
And honestly,this level of planning is quite something.
Few things standing out clearly from the arrangements:
- Only VIPs with passes get direct access,others must park at Thimmaiah Circle .
- Special electric carts are arranged to ferry dignitaries from parking to venue.
- Police are checking everyone's identity against an official list of guests .
But it's not all just serious security stuff . whole city is in celebration mode tbh. Supporters of Shivakumar and Congress party have put up huge flex boards and banners everywhere . There's even a massive 100-foot cut-out of him in Sumanahalli,Rajarajeshwari Nagar constituency .
Even the route from Kempegowda International Airport is decorated with welcome banners for all the party leaders coming in . And get this,the Congress Kisan Cell Karnataka made a special garland from ₹20 currency notes . That's a very unique way to show support .
It’s this strange mix rn... on one hand,massive security that feels like some high-alert situation,and on other hand,this huge party-like atmosphere across the city . You have to wonder how it all feels on ground level for common people…
