This Pune case is honestly very disturbing because it again shows how one drunken argument can turn deadly within minutes . 31-year-old man,Akash Maruti Zambare,lost his life in Handewadi area after fight with his friend,Aatya Ashok Bharekar,also aged 31 .
As per reports,both were consuming alcohol together in open area on night of June 20,2026 . What started like casual sitting slowly turned into heated argument,and then situation went completely out of control .
Police say Bharekar,in fit of rage,picked up nearby cement block and hit Zambare multiple times on head and face . Not small thing ah,using cement block like that means violence had crossed all limits .
And tragically,Zambare suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at scene itself . One normal night,one argument,and family lost someone forever.
Few things standing out clearly in this case:
- Accused was arrested within two hours of crime .
- Second suspect still at large and police are pursuing another individual involved in incident.
- Authorities are collecting evidence to build case.
After incident,victim's cousin,Ravindra Jalinder Zambare,filed complaint at Kalepadal Police Station . That complaint triggered quick police response,and officers started tracking accused using available leads.
Senior Police Inspector Girisha Nimbalkar stated that accused was apprehended based on technical evidence and confidential information . During interrogation,Bharekar reportedly confessed to crime,which makes case even more serious now.
But story is not fully over because police are still trying to locate second suspect who fled from scene . Investigation is continuing,and officers are collecting evidence to understand full sequence of what exactly happened there .
And tbh,this is where bigger concern comes in . Alcohol-related violence in public spaces is becoming scary,especially when small arguments are turning into fatal attacks . Pune has seen alarming increase in violent crimes recently,raising questions about law and order in region.
