So IndiGo is now getting into cab business also . Saw this news on June 18,2026 and honestly,it's an interesting move for an airline.
They are calling it ‘Cabs with IndiGo’ and the whole idea is to make airport travel smoother for passengers . Basically, they want to handle your entire journey, not just flight part.
And they've connected it to their BluChip loyalty programme which is quite clever . You get five BluChips for every ₹100 you spend on these cab bookings. Good way to get people to use it I guess, especially frequent flyers who are always collecting points .
And honestly, this is where they are trying to lock you into their ecosystem.
This whole service is being powered by company called Mojoboxx . They have some other features too, like you can book reverse cabs for just ₹49,and even add hotel bookings or sightseeing options. They are trying to become one-stop-shop for travel .
Few things they are promising with this new service:
- Guaranteed rides,so you don't get those last-minute cancellations from drivers.
- Free cancellations right up to the pick-up time, which is a relief.
- Overall goal is just making airport commute less of a headache .
Neetan Chopra, who is the Chief Digital and Information Officer at IndiGo,made a statement about it . He said, “At IndiGo, our focus extends beyond operating flights—we are committed to building a seamless,end-to-end travel ecosystem that our customers can rely on.”
He also added that this cab service is big step towards making entire journey, from home to airport and beyond, smooth and stress-free. It's a big promise to make ah.
But will people really switch from their regular Ola or Uber for this? The convenience is there for sure, but habit is also big thing . Wonder if this will just be another add-on you skip during booking,or if it will actually change how we travel to airport…
