So happy to see Harsh Dubey finally getting his maiden call-up to the Indian team . After such an impressive domestic season,this was totally deserved .
And of course,he is super excited about maybe playing with legends like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma . Which young cricketer wouldn't be?
He said it himself in one interview, “If you ask any young cricketer who they want to play with right now, the first two names will be Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.” Honestly,this is so true ah. Just being on the same team with them must feel like a dream come true .
But this is not some random selection . Dubey played huge role for Vidarbha in their 2024-25 Ranji Trophy season and even captained team to their first ever Vijay Hazare Trophy win in 2025. He's one of three uncapped players in squad rn.
And what I really like is his attitude . He seems very grounded .
Despite all this excitement,he is saying he wants to focus on one game only at a time. He said, “I don't want to think too far ahead about playing the 2027 World Cup or winning the WTC for India . I just want to stay in the present and do best I can.” This kind of thinking is so important at international level.
