Just heard about that horrible fire at Lemon Green Restaurant in Malviya Nagar and numbers are just devastating . 21 people gone. It's unbelievable .
And now Delhi Police has filed a culpable homicide case under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) which is a very serious step . The fire happened on morning of June 3, 2026,and since then, so many questions are coming up about safety at that place .
Authorities have identified owner as Lokesh Bajaj, and they are also investigating three partners who were involved in operations . Police are looking into everything, like hotel's ownership structure and whether they even followed basic safety rules.
But at same time,there was a big rescue effort . Sub-Divisional Magistrate Jitender Kumar confirmed that search and rescue was finished by noon, and 47 people were saved from the fire.
And honestly,this is where things get really scary.
AIIMS, Delhi received many patients,and some of them were injured because they had to jump from heights to escape fire . Can you even imagine being in that situation? Reports also say some police personnel who were first to arrive also got injured trying to help.
