On paper,this looks like one of those upgrades local residents have been waiting for,especially if daily traffic and drainage issues are part of routine life there.
This project comes under Chief Minister Infrastructure Scheme and it is not small thing ah. Plan is for 1.30-km-long and 30-metre-wide road,with budget of ₹13.26 crore . Along with that,another ₹2.64 crore will go into primary and internal sewer line works .
And honestly,road work is one thing,but sewer line improvement is equally important in these colonies. Because if road becomes nice but drainage remains bad,then after first heavy rain people again start suffering same old problem.
New road is expected to help residents of Tulsi Nagar,Nipania,Ankur Aangan,Rajaram Avenue,and Mahalaxmi Nagar . Construction plan includes cement concrete surface,footpaths,improved sewer chambers,and utility line relocations. So this is not just blacktop road type announcement,it is more like full area-level upgrade.

But Yadav did not stop at this one project only. He also revealed plans for 1.4-km link road from Kanadia Road to Khajrana Road and six-lane flyover from Eastern Ring Road to Robot Square,estimated to cost around ₹50 crore . If these actually move fast,traffic side impact can be visible for many commuters.
During event,Yadav also praised Indore's cleanliness record and urban work,and spoke about city doing well in different areas including participation in Yoga Day . He also credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership over past twelve years for cleanliness and development success of city.
Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav also spoke about Indore leading in cleanliness and community participation. And that part makes sense because Indore’s image is now tied so strongly with cleanliness that every new project also gets judged through same lens.
Tbh,big road announcements always sound good from stage,but real test starts after barricades come up,traffic gets diverted,and people begin asking when work will finish. Cement concrete surface,footpaths,sewer chambers,utility shifting… all this needs proper execution,not just ceremony photos.
