Just saw this crazy news about a bomb threat at Mumbai's Esplanade Court on June 18 . It's also called Killa Court and honestly, getting this kind of threat in such a busy area is very worrying.
An email was apparently sent by some unidentified person, claiming bomb was planted inside the court premises . And obviously, this led to immediate panic. You can just imagine scene .
Police and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) had to rush to location immediately . They took the threat very seriously, which is good thing .
And thank god, after all that tension, nothing was found .
The teams did a complete search of the entire court complex, every courtroom, all surrounding areas . But no suspicious object or explosive was discovered . Still,it created a very tense atmosphere for some time in Fort area, which is always full of government offices and people.
Some key points from this whole drama:
- Security around the court was immediately tightened to protect staff and visitors .
- Mumbai Police are now trying to trace source of this email threat .
- The incident has started a discussion on public safety in such important places .
And tbh, this is the main problem with these hoax threats . They waste so much time and resources of the police and create fear for no reason at all. The person who sent this email needs to be caught .
This whole thing is a reminder of how difficult it is to maintain safety in big cities like Mumbai . Law enforcement has to be alert all the time .
Now officials are probably reviewing all security measures to stop this from happening again . But you have to wonder, how do you completely stop someone from just sending an email and causing chaos…
