Just finished watching this new web series,Ab Hoga Hisaab, and it's one of those shows you watch and then think, okay,I've seen this before . But you still keep watching.
The story is directed by Divyanshu Malhotra and follows two brothers,Bobby and Bunty Manocha . Bobby, played by Shaheer Sheikh,is facing deportation from Canada and tries to hide this whole mess from his family to protect them.
And his brother,Bunty, played by Avinash Mishra,is just completely unaware of the danger that's coming for them . Soon enough,Bobby gets tangled up with a criminal network run by Goldy Sekhon, who is played by Sanjay Kapoor . And from there, everything just gets more complicated .
And honestly, this is where the show really leans into that classic crime drama feel.
What really saves the show are the performances . Mouni Roy is brilliant in her role, she brings so much depth . Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia also does great job. The whole cast really tries to lift story.
But at same time, some performances feel a bit stuck because of the writing . Sanjay Kapoor's character for example, sometimes feels limited by the script.
Few things that stood out for me:
- Strong performances from the cast, especially Mouni Roy .
- Revenge story is very predictable, but still keeps you watching.
- Direction feels a bit slow, series could have been shorter.
The series has ten episodes, and some parts really feel stretched ah . Could have been edited much tighter for better impact. It's not groundbreaking content or anything, but it’s a decent option if you are looking for some drama on OTT.
Overall,it’s satisfactory watch if you like these familiar revenge tales . It provides that entertaining experience if you have time to invest.
But it does make you wonder if we are just getting same revenge story in new packaging every time…
