This Love & War set tragedy is really disturbing,because behind big films and star names,one worker’s life has been lost . Chandradhari Yadav,a 42-year-old carpenter,died on set and honestly,it is hard to read this like normal film news .
Incident happened at Royal Pump Studio in Goregaon East,Mumbai around 3 a.m. on June 17,2026. Initial reports say Yadav suffered fatal electric shock,but exact cause of death is still under investigation . He leaves behind his wife and two daughters,which makes whole thing even heavier .
And this was not some small production nobody knew about . Love & War has names like Alia Bhatt,Ranbir Kapoor,and Vicky Kaushal attached to it,so naturally lot of attention is now coming on how such accident happened on set .
The Film Studio Setting and Allied Mazdoor Union (FSSAMU) reportedly approached producers of Love & War for financial assistance after tragedy . Bhansali Productions has reportedly offered ₹40 lakh to support Yadav’s family during this painful time.
Few things standing out clearly here:

But money alone cannot answer everything ah . B.N . Tiwari,president of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE),told media that compensation is needed,but producer should also take responsibility for education of Yadav’s children . That point feels fair,because wife and two daughters are now left facing future without him.
Ashok Dubey,general secretary of FWICE,said Yadav had been working tirelessly on set for three consecutive days . His last shift reportedly stretched from 7 a.m. to 3 a.m . on day of incident. Workers doing beyond standard eight to ten hours is not small thing,especially when fatigue and electric work or set hazards are involved.
Witnesses reportedly said he was rushed to hospital after electric shock,but he could not be saved . Union has also reached out to Bhansali,asking for employment opportunity for Yadav’s wife within production house so family gets more support.
As of now,Bhansali Productions has not released an official statement regarding incident . Film’s release,which was initially scheduled for this year,has now been postponed to January 2027 after tragedy.
And tbh,this case again makes people ask same uncomfortable question… when big films are being made with huge budgets,who is really watching safety and working hours of people building those sets?
