At least seven people were killed and three others injured,and honestly,the way second blast happened makes whole thing even more cruel .
Local police said first explosion was caused by improvised explosive device (IED) placed along roadside . It directly hit passenger van and five people died instantly. Not small thing ah,people were just travelling from Hathi Khel village to Bannu city .
Then shortly after,second blast happened . And this one reportedly targeted people who rushed to help victims of first explosion. That is where situation feels especially dark,because those trying to save others also became victims.
According to Bannu District Police Officer Yasir Afridi,the passenger van was on way from Hathi Khel village to Bannu city when it was struck . Emergency responders moved injured and deceased to nearby hospital,while security forces cordoned off area to collect evidence and investigate blasts.

Chief Minister Sohail Afridi expressed deep sorrow and called incident "highly tragic" . He also extended condolences to victims’ families,asked police authorities for detailed report and ordered comprehensive investigation into circumstances around blasts.
Sohail Afridi also assured that provincial government would provide all necessary assistance to bereaved families during this difficult time . Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi also condemned bombings and spoke about need for increased security measures in region.
But this again shows how unsafe ordinary travel can become in areas already dealing with history of militant activity and violence . People leave village for city,and suddenly whole family’s life changes on roadside only…
