This Karimnagar bus fire incident is honestly scary because 39 passengers were sitting inside one TGSRTC electric bus and within minutes,whole vehicle was almost gone . And best part in middle of this panic is that everyone got out safely because driver reacted fast.
On morning of June 21,2026 ,bus was travelling on Rajiv Rahadari (State Highway-1) near Karimnagar and was en route to Hyderabad . Suddenly,fumes started coming from HV Battery Compartment,and that is not small thing ah,especially in electric bus.
Driver quickly stopped vehicle and alerted all 39 passengers onboard . That one quick decision probably made whole difference because passengers managed to evacuate just before situation became much worse .
And then driver still tried to control fire using two fire extinguishers available inside bus . But flames spread too fast and those efforts did not work . Within minutes,as per eyewitness accounts,fire had engulfed bus badly .
By time fire service arrived,bus was already heavily damaged . Reports say electric bus suffered catastrophic destruction and was left nearly unrecognizable,which shows how fast fire moved once it started.
Few things standing out clearly here:
