This Bedford train crash sounds absolutely terrifying,and honestly,passenger accounts are hard to even read calmly . One train driver died,89 others were injured,and officials said 11 people had very serious injuries. Not small thing ah.
The collision happened near Bedford on Friday afternoon,around 17:15 . Two trains were involved — 16:40 from Corby and 15:50 from Nottingham,both heading to London St Pancras .
And what makes it more disturbing is how passengers described those few seconds before impact . Simon Bentley said train braking felt unusual just before crash,which must have created that horrible feeling that something is wrong but nobody knows what exactly is coming.
Brett Byatt described injuries he saw inside train and his words are just brutal: "There was a woman in front of me that had completely snapped her leg..." That one line only gives idea of how violent collision must have been .
