Just saw this news about theft at Raveena Tandon's mother's place, and it's honestly so disheartening. It’s always the cases involving trusted house help that feel the worst .
Mumbai police have arrested a 48-year-old woman named Rashi Chabria, who was working with the family as house help . The theft was not small ah,we're talking about gold jewelry worth ₹25 lakh and two mobile phones .
And this is what makes it so sad. Chabria had been with family since 2020 . She was apparently hired to take care of Raveena's 86-year-old mother, which is how she got so much trust and access to valuables in the house.
According to police, the theft happened when the family was getting some renovation work done at their home . They had put jewelry in a locker for safety, but later noticed some things were missing.
When they first asked her,Chabria completely denied everything.
But after more questioning, she finally broke down and admitted to it . She even claimed she had given the jewelry to someone else named Jagdish. This is where the story gets even more complicated.
Few things standing out in this whole situation:
- Trust was completely broken,as Rashi Chabria had worked with the family for years.
- Police have so far recovered 15 grams of gold after her arrest .
- Investigation is still going on to find out if more people were involved .
And honestly, this is the kind of story that makes you second-guess everything . You let someone into your home, into your family's life, especially to care for an elderly parent. You build a relationship over time.
The case was registered at Juhu police station and they are now looking into her connections and any possible accomplices like this Jagdish fellow . The Tandon family is probably relieved to get some items back, but the feeling of being betrayed must be terrible.
It just makes you wonder how you can ever fully trust someone in your personal space again after something like this happens…
