This is quite serious news coming out now from Bhayandar, near Mumbai . Another one of these terror modules has been busted, and this time it involves some very big names .
A 26-year-old man,Huzaifa Farooq Ahmed Hashmi, was arrested in a joint operation by Delhi Police Special Cell and Maharashtra ATS . The allegations are not small ah,they are saying he was involved with a Pakistan-based ISI and Mumbai underworld module.
And when he was presented in Thane court,he reportedly acknowledged the reasons for his detention . It feels very strange to read that part. Usually there is denial, but here he seems to have accepted it .
The authorities are emphasizing this case because of its connections to the Dawood Ibrahim syndicate, which has been a long-standing problem for India.
And honestly, this is where things get really worrying .
During the court hearing, investigators showed evidence like screenshots of Hashmi's chats and his banking transactions . This clearly shows it was not just talk, money was also involved, making it a much bigger network. The police say he was in touch with a guy in Pakistan named Yawar Khan.
Few things standing out clearly in this case:
- Hashmi was reportedly in contact with Yawar Khan, based in Pakistan.
- Thane court granted a three-day transit warrant for his transfer to Delhi .
- Evidence in court included chat screenshots and banking data .
Apparently his communication with Yawar Khan started just a month before his arrest . This raises huge alarm bells about what they were planning for cities like Delhi and Mumbai.
And this is not just one guy . The Delhi Police Special Cell has already detained nine other individuals linked to this same module before this . It shows how wide this network has spread. Rn,they are going through a database of around 600 people who might be connected to some Pakistani gangster named Shahzad Bhatti.
600 people... that number is just shocking . It feels like a silent network operating right under our noses for long time.
It just makes you wonder how many more such sleeper cells are active and how big the challenge is for our security agencies...
