This is one of those updates UAE-based Indians really need to notice,especially if passport,visa or attestation work is pending . Indian Embassy in UAE has said these regular services will not be available for five days,from June 26 to June 30,2026 .
And reason is not some random closure. Indian government is shifting to new outsourced service provider,Al Hind Tours and Travel LLC,which will officially start operations from July 1 . So basically,there is transition gap and people planning last-minute work may get stuck badly.
Current service providers,BLS International and SGIVS Global,will stop accepting new applications at end of business on June 25 . That means if someone misses that window,normal passport,visa and attestation services will have to wait until new setup begins.
But emergency consular services will still be available during this period . And honestly,that part is relief because emergencies do not wait for office transition ah.
Few key things people should keep in mind:
- All regular passport,visa and attestation services will be unavailable from June 26 to June 30,2026 .
- Al Hind Tours and Travel LLC will handle all consular services from July 1 .
- New online portal for appointments will also be introduced on July 1 .
Embassy has also asked Indian nationals to prepare accordingly and avoid last-minute applications . This is practical advice only,because many people usually wake up when travel date is already close or document deadline is already near.
And tbh,change of service provider always creates some confusion in beginning . New counters,new appointment system,new process flow… even if everything is planned,some people will still feel lost for first few days .
Indian nationals living in UAE have also been advised to depend only on official communications from embassy for updates . That is important because during such changeovers,WhatsApp forwards and random social media posts can create more panic than actual problem.
So for now,anyone with routine passport,visa or attestation work should check dates properly and plan around this five-day pause . Emergency help will be there,but regular work is clearly entering small waiting zone…
