This NEET re-examination cheating case from Hyderabad is honestly quite disturbing, not because cheating attempts are new,but because planning here sounds way too detailed for one 18-year-old student .
On June 21, 2026,student from Achampet was caught at ZPHS examination center in Ragannaguda after he allegedly used mobile phone during exam . And not just carried phone casually ah,police say he had hidden it inside washroom flush tank.
According to police reports, candidate reached school early in morning around 7 a.m. and placed mobile device near washroom ventilator, which was accessible from outside school compound . That itself shows this was not some last-minute panic move .
But then before exam started,he reportedly went into washroom, put phone inside zip-lock cover and kept it inside flush tank . Security checks had already happened at 6 a.m. and again at 11 a.m.,but phone still went unnoticed.
And this is where whole security angle becomes uncomfortable.
During examination, student complained of stomach pain and asked to use washroom . He stayed there for unusually long time, which made invigilators suspicious . When they checked,he was allegedly found using phone to search answers online.
Few things standing out clearly in this case:
- Student was caught using mobile phone during NEET re-examination in Hyderabad.
- Police say device was hidden before exam inside washroom flush tank .
- Case was registered under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024 .
Police were alerted quickly and phone was confiscated . After that, case was registered against candidate under relevant laws for examination malpractice .
And tbh, this is not just about one student trying to cheat . It also shows how even multiple security checks can miss something if someone has planned properly and found small gap in system.
Exams like NEET already carry so much pressure for students and families . But when someone tries this kind of shortcut,it damages trust for everyone sitting honestly in same hall only .
Now investigation is continuing and authorities are talking about stricter examination protocols . But real question is,how many more hidden gaps are still sitting inside these exam centers unnoticed…
