Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda visited office of Congress MLA Balram Dangi on June 21,2026,and his reaction was pretty sharp .
The incident itself happened early on June 20, 2026 at Dangi's office . At least four shots were allegedly fired by two masked individuals who came on motorcycle . Thankfully,no one was injured,but still,gunfire at MLA's office is not small thing ah.
Hooda called this clear evidence of Haryana's failing law and order situation . And honestly,when bullets are being fired at office of elected representative,common people will obviously ask what is happening around them.
Police have made one breakthrough so far . One suspect,identified as Aman from Lakhanmajra,was arrested after brief exchange of gunfire . Authorities said Aman was injured during confrontation,and police also recovered country-made pistol along with motorcycle used in attack .
And tbh,this part makes case even more serious because police are also investigating possible involvement of one criminal who has numerous cases against him and is believed to be residing in Thailand . That angle gives whole thing organized crime feel,not just random local fight.
Few points Hooda raised very strongly:
- 50-60 gangs active — Hooda claims that organized crime is rampant in Haryana.
- Immediate security demanded — Hooda calls for special protection for MLA Dangi and his family.
- Public safety at risk — Hooda highlights the declining sense of security among citizens .
During visit,Hooda attacked current administration and said organized crime has re-emerged in Haryana,similar to period before Congress government took power in 2005 . He claimed that under Congress leadership,criminal activities were effectively curbed and public safety was given priority.
He also spoke about rising incidents of extortion,robbery and murder,saying criminal gangs now operate with impunity . For people hearing this,it is scary because these are not small allegations,especially coming after firing incident only.
Hooda further referred to Social Progress Index which identified Haryana as most unsafe state in India . He said citizens,traders and politicians are all feeling increasingly vulnerable,and demanded strict punishment for those involved in attack on Dangi.
But bigger question is still hanging there . If police have arrested one accused and recovered weapon and motorcycle,will this stop at local shooters,or will real network behind attack also come out…
