And yes,Dua's custom bridal gown designed by Chanel is clearly main talking point here . Ivory dress was made at Chanel's renowned haute couture atelier in Paris,and artisans reportedly spent over 4,000 hours making it . That is not small thing ah.
The gown had 480,000 beads,each hand-stitched by Atelier Montex . Just imagining that level of handwork is tiring only. It also had trompe l'oeil jewel details which needed over 1,100 hours of needlework,so this was not some normal pretty wedding dress situation .
Few details standing out clearly:
- Gown features 25,000 feathers,with hand-placed feathers adding soft movement to bridal look .
- Dramatic six-metre veil had embroidered birds and floral motifs.
- Fashion industry reaction has been strong,with gown being widely praised and discussed in bridal couture circles.
And tbh,the whole fairytale aesthetic makes sense here . Fitted bodice,elegant skirt,two-metre train… it was dramatic without looking too heavy. That balance is actually hard,especially when dress already has beads,feathers,jewel details and so much embroidery .
But veil seems like separate artwork by itself . Six-metre veil with birds and floral motifs can easily become too much,but from description,it sounds like Chanel kept it romantic instead of loud .
Dua also kept styling quite understated with custom white satin pumps by Massaro and diamond earrings . Smart choice,because when gown is doing this much,taking accessories too far would have made whole look overcrowded.
Callum Turner also matched mood in tailored suit by Louis Vuitton,so couple's whole wedding aesthetic stayed very polished and high-fashion . Not everyone can pull off this level of couture around wedding without it feeling like brand campaign,but here fans seem genuinely impressed.
And still,one question stays in head… when celebrity weddings become this grand and fashion-heavy,are we looking at love story,couture moment,or both mixed together in one very expensive dream…
