This missing fishermen case from Tamil Nadu feels very worrying because sea cases are always time-sensitive,and families waiting on shore go through worst kind of fear . Three men went out for fishing on June 15 and simply did not return.
The fishermen have been identified as Pandian,Kalyanasundaram, and Srikanth . They are residents of Killai and Parangipettai in Tamil Nadu, and had gone out in boat belonging to Subramaniam,a local fisherman .
Plan was normal only . They were supposed to return by evening of June 16 . But when they did not come back, concern started building among families and local community .
According to Cuddalore Collector,Sibi Adhithya Senthil Kumar, the delay led to Fisheries Department being alerted about situation . After that, local fishermen were given permission to start search for missing trio .
But despite their efforts, nothing was found . No trace,no clear update, and that is exactly where anxiety becomes very real ah,especially for people who know how unpredictable open sea can get.
Few things standing out clearly in this case:
- Three fishermen went missing at sea on June 15.
- Indian Coast Guard has deployed two boats and a helicopter for search.
- Local fishermen first joined search efforts but could not locate them.
And now Indian Coast Guard has launched more extensive search operation . Families and friends of Pandian,Kalyanasundaram, and Srikanth are also actively seeking any information about their whereabouts, while authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward .
This is also reminder of how risky fishing livelihood can be . For many coastal families, this is daily work, not adventure, but danger is always there in open waters, especially when conditions turn bad .
Authorities are also looking into circumstances that led to disappearance,so others going out to sea can be kept safer . But rn,the biggest question is still same for families waiting in Killai and Parangipettai… where are they?
