This Madhya Pradesh opium seizure is honestly not small thing ah,115.160 kg being moved on highway like this shows how organised these routes can become . And what makes it more strange is perfume angle,like smugglers actually thought smell can be hidden that easily .
According to details,Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) was acting on actionable intelligence on June 19,2026 . Officials were tracking Hyundai Creta with Jharkhand registration,which was believed to be carrying drugs from Guwahati to Jodhpur.
And then in early hours of Saturday,vehicle was intercepted at Sikandra toll plaza on Agra-Jaipur Highway . That is where officials found opium hidden inside trunk in three sacks .
The recovery itself was huge — 115.160 kg of opium . Authorities also found that contraband was packed into 109 packets,which clearly gives feeling this was not some random movement but planned smuggling attempt.
Few things standing out clearly here:
- 115.160 kg of opium was seized from Hyundai Creta with Jharkhand registration.
- Opium was concealed in three sacks and packed into 109 packets.
- One arrest was made,and CBN is probing suppliers and recipients involved .
And tbh,the perfume part is what really caught attention . Investigators noted that smugglers had sprayed large quantity of perfume inside vehicle to disguise odor of opium . But that trick did not work because CBN was already monitoring movement.
The arrested individual is now facing charges under relevant sections of NDPS Act . CBN is also analyzing data to identify possible accomplices and other routes used for drug smuggling.
But this also shows how drug movement across state lines is not happening casually . Guwahati to Jodhpur route,highway movement,concealed packets,perfume cover-up… everything points toward wider network only.
And now real question is how deep this chain goes,suppliers on one side,receivers on other side,and maybe more vehicles already moving somewhere else…
