One really disturbing case has come from Bengaluru, where 32-year-old businessman Yasin Ali has claimed that what started as forced entry into his house turned into assault, robbery and then extortion also . And honestly, this is not small thing ah,especially when someone says attackers entered home in morning itself .
According to complaint lodged with Central Crime Branch (CCB),Ali said incident happened on May 5,around 8 a.m. He alleged that known rowdy-sheeter Ruban came to his residence with group of accomplices and forcibly entered inside.
And from there, things apparently escalated very fast . Ali has claimed they assaulted him and threatened him with an iron rod. Imagine being inside own house and suddenly facing this kind of violence in morning hours .
The group allegedly took away four expensive mobile phones,a laptop, two smartwatches,a car,an electric scooter, and ₹80,000 in cash . That list itself shows this was not some small scuffle or normal argument.
Few things standing out clearly in this case:
- Ruban and his associates allegedly assaulted Yasin Ali after entering his residence .
- Valuables including four expensive mobile phones,a laptop, two smartwatches,a car,an electric scooter, and ₹80,000 in cash were allegedly stolen.
- Ali also reported ₹56,000 was transferred from his account without consent.
But what makes this more scary is phone access part . Ali said assailants managed to access his mobile phone and extract sensitive information like passwords and other credentials. Once that happens, damage is not just physical or financial,it becomes personal privacy violation also .
After initial assault,Ali was reportedly approached by acquaintance Syed, who said he could help resolve matter and get belongings back . But instead of any solution, more people including Shakeel and Mohammed allegedly came to Ali’s house, further assaulted him and demanded more money.
Ali then felt compelled to hand over ₹30,000 to attackers . So on one side belongings were allegedly taken,on other side money was allegedly demanded again . Tbh,this sounds like fear being used again and again.
Now CCB has registered case against Ruban and his associates, and police are investigating to track down suspects involved in assault, robbery and extortion allegations . But bigger question is how safe does one feel when such thing can allegedly happen inside home, that too with known names involved…
