Ayodhya is changing fast,and now one more update has come from 84-Kosi Parikrama Route . This time,it is about pilgrim facilities and honestly,this kind of work does matter because people walking these routes need more than just faith to keep going.
Tourism Department has completed development initiative costing ₹20.64 crore along this route . Under this,six major ashrams have been revamped so thousands of pilgrims visiting birthplace of Lord Ram can get better basic facilities during their journey .
Among ashrams upgraded are Shravan Kumar Ashram,Astik Ashram,and Maharshi Bamdev Ashram . These places now have modern accommodations,food stalls,and clean drinking water,which is not small thing ah when crowds come in large numbers.
And work had started on May 30, 2023 . Construction included rest houses,toilets,and welcoming entrance gates,all meant to make overall pilgrim experience more comfortable and less stressful .
Few things standing out clearly in this project:
- ₹20.64 crore has been spent on improving facilities along 84-Kosi Parikrama Route .
- Six major ashrams have been revamped with accommodations,food stalls,and clean drinking water.
- Rest houses,toilets,and entrance gates were built after work commenced on May 30,2023.
Manoj Sharma,Project Manager from Uttar Pradesh Projects Corporation Limited,expressed satisfaction over successful completion of project . And tbh,for pilgrims who travel with families,elderly people,and children,these facilities can make real difference on ground.
There is also one interesting part here . Officials say informative interpretation walls have been added so devotees can understand historical and religious importance of these places,not just pass through them hurriedly.
This whole push is being linked to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's vision of mixing faith with modern facilities . Tourism Department officials believe better amenities will boost religious tourism in Ayodhya,which already gets millions of visitors because of sacred sites like Ram Mandir and Hanuman Garhi.
But at same time,big question is always maintenance . New buildings,clean water,toilets,rest areas… all look good when project is fresh,but will same care continue when crowds keep increasing every season…
