According to authors Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan,US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent had advised then-President Donald Trump not to host Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Oval Office . And language reportedly used was not diplomatic at all ah .
Bessent allegedly called Zelenskyy “little fucker” and “Mr Bean on crack.” These comments are set to be published on June 20,2026,and if accurate,they show just how badly personal feelings had entered official foreign policy space.
And main backdrop here is meeting on February 28,2025 . That meeting was supposed to help finalize minerals deal,but instead it reportedly turned into confrontation where Trump and Ohio Senate candidate JD Vance criticized Zelenskyy for not showing enough gratitude for US military aid during his fight against Russian aggression.
