This AMMA situation is getting messy now,and honestly,it feels like internal fight has reached point where people are no longer even pretending everything is fine.
Speculations are going around about leadership of Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA),with one faction of members reportedly planning to bring no-confidence motion against Shweta Menon,who is currently leading organization . And this is happening just before annual general body meeting in Kochi,so timing itself says lot .
The proposed motion is not some small complaint also . It reportedly criticizes current administration for not managing routine affairs properly and for failing to settle disputes among members before things reached police level .
And tbh,this is where whole issue becomes uncomfortable.
Reports say no-confidence document raises several grievances,including failure to conduct traditional star show with a private entertainment channel . It also questions decision to host liquor party during International Film Festival of Kerala and says leadership could not handle ongoing member disputes in amicable way .
