For students and parents, this is not small thing ah,because one wrong order of college or course can change whole plan.
KEA Executive Director H. Prasanna said candidates can enter their choices till 10 a.m. on July 9 . This is part of first round of seat allotment,so students now have to sit properly and decide preferred colleges, courses and backup options also.
And honestly, this option entry part looks simple from outside, but it becomes very stressful when thousands of students are comparing ranks, colleges, branches, fees, location and family pressure at same time .
Mock seat allotment results will be out on July 6 at 11 a.m. . That mock result is basically chance for students to understand where they may stand before final locking. After seeing it,candidates can add, delete, modify or rearrange options till final deadline.
Few things students should keep in mind rn:
- NEET re-examination students are advised to focus on their exam first before entering CET options.
- Draft seat matrix for engineering courses has been released, but final version is still pending.
- This year,KEA will not conduct pre-round counselling and process is moving directly into first round.
And for students writing NEET re-examination on June 20 ,this advice actually makes sense. If exam is just ahead, trying to handle CET options also can mess up focus badly. First exam, then choices.
Mr. Prasanna also said seat matrix for Agriculture,Veterinary Science, and BSc Nursing has already been released. Engineering students still have to wait for final seat matrix, which is slightly uncomfortable because many decisions depend on exact seat availability only.
KEA has also put video guide on its website to show how students should enter options for preferred courses and colleges. Good step, because many students get confused in these portals and sometimes small technical mistake creates big tension later.
But still, main pressure is on students now. Mock allotment on July 6 at 11 a.m.,final option deadline at 10 a.m. on July 9,and NEET re-examination on June 20 for some students… so many dates,so many choices, and one admission season where nobody wants to make wrong move…
