Delhi government is doing something for NEET UG 2026 aspirants and honestly,it's actually quite thoughtful. With the re-examination coming up on June 21,they've announced some new measures.
So Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced they are setting up special cooling zones at all 97 examination centres across Delhi . This is mainly for parents and guardians who wait outside for hours.
And these are not just empty tents ah. They will have proper seating, clean drinking water, shikanji, even ORS,tea, and first-aid facilities. This is to make sure families can wait comfortably while their kids are writing one of India's toughest exams.
And honestly, this is where the government is showing some real understanding .
In her statement,Gupta said,"We want to make sure that every candidate and their family feels comfortable and supported on exam day." That's a good sentiment to have.
Few things Delhi government is doing:
- Dedicated cooling zones with drinks and first-aid for families .
- Free travel for all NEET candidates on DTC buses.
- Main focus is to create less stressful atmosphere on exam day.
But that's not all. They also made travel on DTC buses completely free for students going to their centres . This is such a big relief, because last-minute travel stress is a real problem for many. It's a small thing but it helps lot .
The CM also gave her best wishes to all aspirants, telling them to be confident and focused . She hoped their hard work would help them build good futures for themselves and nation .
This whole initiative shows they understand the huge pressure students and families face during this time . The competition is already so high,so any small support helps.
But you have to wonder if these small comforts can really fight massive stress of an exam like NEET… it's a nice gesture for sure, but the root of the pressure is something else entirely.
