Wow,this is a huge confession coming from Shilpa Shinde after so many years . Everyone knows her as 'Angoori Bhabhi' from Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain! and that whole controversy was massive back then . And now, she's saying sexual harassment claims were false.
She revealed all this on a podcast with Bharti Singh and Harssh Limbachiyaa, and tbh,it’s a lot to take in . She basically admitted that her claims against the show's producer were not true and she waited nine years to say it.
Her reason for making allegations at that time? She said she felt completely trapped and believed she had no other option . A very difficult situation ah.
But why stay silent for nine long years . According to her interview with IANS,there was an understanding with show's creators to not discuss the situation publicly. This commitment is what she says kept her quiet.
And this is where things get really complicated.
She explained it directly, saying, “I wanted to share this at that time itself, but we had a commitment that we would not talk about this in media.” She insists it wasn’t about fear, but about honouring that agreement.
Few things standing out in this whole mess:
- Commitment to silence — She says her agreement with makers stopped her from speaking out sooner.
- Misunderstandings during the controversy — She was accused of demanding more money and misbehaving, which she denied.
- Seeking path out — She was trying to find a resolution without more conflict, which delayed her confession.
And she also seems very frustrated that everyone thought she was the only one to blame for everything . She feels allegations were part of bigger plan just to bind her to a contract because show was getting so popular .
She finished by saying, “Nobody knows this,I am not scared of saying the truth, and I will still say that what I am saying is a big thing.”
After all this time,it makes you wonder about pressures people face in entertainment industry . Coming out with something like this after nine years must have taken a lot,but what does it even mean for everyone involved now…
