This Ram Mandir Trust controversy is getting more uncomfortable now,because allegation this time is coming from Deenanath Verma,a retired engineer who supervised construction at the Ram Mandir Trust . And honestly,when someone from inside project makes such claim,people will obviously start asking questions .
Verma has alleged that senior trustee Dr. Anil Mishra demanded commission of 40% from contractor involved in Trust's office building project . Not small thing ah,especially when matter is connected with such emotionally important place for millions .
According to Verma,aluminium contractor was allegedly pushed to inflate project estimates so that this 40% commission could be adjusted . He said these things during interview which later circulated on social media.
And this is where matter becomes more serious . Verma claims he raised issue with Trust General Secretary Champat Rai and even presented audio recording of alleged conversation to him . But according to him,instead of action being taken,he was removed from project.
Few things standing out clearly in this whole controversy:
- Deenanath Verma alleged commission demand of 40% by Dr. Anil Mishra .
- Ravi Gupta,the contractor named in claims,categorically rejected allegations as baseless.
- Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has not officially responded to Verma's allegations .
Ravi Gupta later came live on social media and denied everything from his side . He said he was never part of any discussion about commission during construction process . As per him,he had submitted quotation for Trust office construction,but later came to know that Verma had assigned work to someone else.
Gupta further said he was eventually called back to complete project,and he completed it without any issue regarding commission . So now there are completely opposite versions coming out,and public is left trying to understand who is saying what and why.
At same time,Mahant Shashikant Das,president of Saryu Nitya Aarti Committee and temple priest,also issued clarification . He distanced himself from allegations and said he had given his building free of charge for Trust's camp office . He also said he had no knowledge of any commission demands and had never met retired engineer Deenanath Verma.
Another point people are discussing is that Verma's allegations have come shortly after similar claims were made by Tinnu Yadav against Trust officials . So naturally,this has added more heat to whole issue rn.
And honestly,when Trust officials remain silent,confusion only grows . Maybe there is simple explanation,maybe there is more to story,but with claims,audio recording mention,denials and clarifications all floating together… people are not going to stop asking questions so easily…
