This Kerala High Court case is honestly very tense because it is not just about legal fight now,it has also become about basic safety of couple who are saying they received serious threats after marriage controversy .
Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas has ordered Kerala Police to give necessary protection to woman who came into public attention during Kumbh Mela,and her husband Farmaan Khan . And reason is scary ah,they reportedly got threatening message saying they would be “shot to death.”
The couple had approached court while dealing with legal case connected to abduction allegations against Farmaan Khan . They were seeking transit bail so they could go to Madhya Pradesh High Court for anticipatory bail in matter involving kidnapping,offenses against Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes,and allegations of child marriage .
And tbh,this is where case becomes even more complicated . On one side,there are serious allegations against Khan . On other side,couple is saying they are facing threats and need police protection just to travel safely.

But family side has made its own serious claims too . Woman’s family has alleged she was only 16 years old and claimed that Khan had “trapped her in love jihad.” That one line itself shows how emotionally and politically charged this matter has become .
Court has now fixed follow-up hearing for July 10 to check whether police protection order is being followed properly . For now,focus is on making sure no harm comes to them while legal process continues.
And honestly,this whole case sits in very uncomfortable space between personal choice,family objection,criminal allegations and public pressure . What is truth here will come out through court only,but till then fear around safety is hanging over everything…
