This Tamil Nadu finance issue is not looking like normal political back-and-forth anymore . K. Annamalai, founder of We Leader movement, has now pushed for functional consultation group, and honestly, that itself shows how serious situation is being seen.
He is talking about group made up of academicians, economists, and financial experts who can sit down and actually work out ways to handle state's fiscal crisis . This comes after recent White Paper released by TVK-led government, which apparently paints very worrying picture of Tamil Nadu's finances.
And tbh, when someone calls for expert help like this,it means problem is not small ah . Annamalai shared his concern through social media post and said there is urgent need for constructive solutions, not just political statements and blame games.
He also hit out at TVK government over past five years of fiscal mismanagement . According to him,White Paper is basically like critical examination of how badly financial condition has slipped.
Few things standing out clearly here:
- K . Annamalai has proposed functional consultation group with academicians, economists, and financial experts.
- White Paper released by TVK-led government highlights Tamil Nadu's financial deterioration and weak financial indicators compared to other industrialized states.
- He warned government should act fast and not use White Paper as shield against accountability.
Annamalai even described document as post-mortem of government's economic performance . That is strong wording only, because post-mortem means damage already happened and now people are studying how it happened.
His exact line was,"The TVK government has very little time at its disposal and must not treat this White Paper as excuse for non-performance." And honestly, this sentence sums up whole mood . He is basically saying don’t show report and then sit quietly .
Idea behind this consultation group seems simple:bring people who understand finance, policy and economy, and ask them to prepare roadmap for recovery and sustainable financial management in Tamil Nadu . At same time,it also pushes demand for transparency and accountability in governance .
But real question is whether TVK government will take this as wake-up call or just another political attack . Because White Papers, expert panels, social media statements… all sound good, but Tamil Nadu’s financial stress will not fix itself just by discussion…
